1. Bustler Market

In the heart of Derby’s industrial quarter, you will find Derby’s one and only street food market. Think street food, craft beers, cocktails and vinyl DJ’s. With a great selection of food on offer, from vegetarian, vegan to gluten free options. There really is something available for everyone. You can even bring your dogs along too!

Entry is £1.

For children under 17, DCFC season ticket holders, NHS staff and students, entry is free.

2. The Greyhound

Located on Friargate, the renovated 18th century pub with a large beer garden and roof terrace offers modern homemade food and a selection of world beverages including Derby Brewing Company’s own brew alongside many others.

With a delicious range of smokehouse dishes and fresh pizzas available, you can enjoy dining alfresco not only in Summer, but all year round in their garden room which has a retractable roof for sunnier days.

3. Alfresco Dining Experience at Derby Market Place

Throughout June and July, you can reserve an open table or covered chalet outside in this vibrant food court located at the heart of the city.

Support local businesses by ordering your food from a list of restaurants, takeaways or cafés across the city and have it delivered straight to your table. Lorentes, Nando’s, BEAR, The Palfrey and Portobello are among the list which you can order food from alongside a drink from the on-site licensed bar.

Tables and chalets are pre-bookable online or over the phone but there are also a number of covered chalets and open tables that are available on a first come, first served basis.

4. The Palfrey

Located in the historic Old Blacksmiths Yard on Sadlergate is the newly refurbished unique and contemporary restaurant and wine bar, offering an eclectic mix of food and drink, including a bespoke wine list, signature cocktails and dishes created using only the best local ingredients.

5. The Shed at Darley Abbey Mill

Nestled in the cobbled streets of Darley Abbey Mills, The Shed offers a unique café by day and a popular bar by night. It’s a destination for fabulous food, coffee, world wines and cocktails.

6. The Farmhouse at Mackworth

Situated in what was once an 18th century farmhouse, The Farmhouse at Mackworth offers a newly renovated terrace, complete with covered seating areas and outdoor heating. Here you can enjoy delicious food including stone-baked pizzas and chargrill oven-cooked steaks alongside crafted drinks with a backdrop of the rolling Derbyshire hills.
